MEMBER OF THE BOARD
I am a feminist activist working in social justice philanthropy. My work contributes to social movements that challenge injustice, demand more equitable distribution of wealth in the world, and contribute to fair, sustainable, peaceful societies.
Currently, I work as the Director of Partnerships and Communications at Mama Cash, the world’s oldest international feminist funder. In this role, I seek out and develop alliances with people and organisations committed to advancing women’s, girls’, trans and intersex people’s rights internationally. I coordinate a fierce team that keeps our fundraising and communications political, creative and relevant. Together, we leverage contacts, money, and other resources – including collective power – to fund, support, catalyse and sustain activism, organising, social work, campaigns and other activities that make the world more just.
Previously, I held similar roles with women’s rights funders in Mexico (Semillas), Nicaragua (Fondo Centroamericano de Mujeres) and was the co-founder and first director of Calala women’s fund in Spain. In a past life, I worked in online development for a dot com media company in San Francisco, USA.
My BA degrees are in Comparative Literature and Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and I earned a master’s degree in International Relations from the Institute Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals. I serve on the Boards of Manifesta, the EDGE Funders Alliance and Calala Women’s Fund.
